Joint Professorship in Cybersecurity (Brückenprofessur CyberSecurity)
Mathematics for Testing, Resilience and Information Security
The research group MATRIS studies the mathematical foundations of complex, resilient and secure systems, and how critical infrastructure withstands hybrid threats where natural hazards and cyber attacks combine. It is a joint research lab of the University of Salzburg and FH Salzburg, led by Prof. Dimitris E. Simos.

MATRIS Science Lab organised the visit of the Austrian IIASA Committee and an IIASA delegation to the University of Salzburg.
Dimitris E. Simos joined the panel "Blackout, Sabotage & Co. – wie sicher ist Europa?" at the 22nd Salzburg Europe Summit.
Dimitris E. Simos was one of two FH Salzburg nominees for the LExA Leadership Excellence Award in Research.
A joint project on the resilience of critical infrastructures to cyber attacks and natural hazards, running at both the University of Salzburg and FH Salzburg.
