Joint professorship in cybersecurity for Salzburg
Dimitris E. Simos takes up the new joint professorship in cybersecurity of the University of Salzburg and FH Salzburg.
In July 2025 Dimitris E. Simos started teaching and research at both Salzburg institutions as holder of the new joint professorship in cybersecurity. The professorship is endowed by the State of Salzburg. It is based at the Faculty of Digital and Analytical Sciences of the University of Salzburg and at FH Salzburg’s Department of Information Technologies and Digitalisation.
“The professorship will build bridges between scientific foundations and application areas.”
The aim is to combine cutting-edge research in mathematics and computer science with current cybersecurity challenges, and to contribute lastingly to Salzburg’s innovation landscape.
