AURELIA

Advancing Critical Infrastructure Resilience to Cyber Attacks and Natural Hazards

Hybrid threats against critical infrastructure arise when natural hazards and cyber attacks combine. AURELIA brings discrete-mathematical modelling and combinatorial security testing together with geospatial analytics and remote sensing, and studies how timed cyber attacks and natural hazards interact in power grids. AURELIA is the roadmap to the lab's future projects, with a focus on the federal state of Salzburg.

MATRIS-SHIELD

MATRIS Knowledge Transfer for Cybersecurity to UNI-IIS Initiative

Subproject of the Austria-wide initiative for information and IT security at universities (UNI-IIS KP2), led at the University of Salzburg by its IT Services. The MATRIS subproject at the Department of Computer Science focuses on awareness and training: practical cybersecurity courses, training programmes and workshops across universities, for target groups ranging from security experts and IT staff to end users. The aim is to strengthen awareness of IT-security processes and topics.
